This site is hosted on an AWS lightsail instance for a mere $3.50 a month. The downside is I needed to upgrade PHP and the bundled server did not allow that so I needed to migrate to a new server. Not very easy lol! But in the end, following these instructions: How To Upgrade PHP on Amazon Lightsail in under 15 minutes? (rajivverma.me) I was able to do it using two plug ins and a couple of php.ini mods: ‘All In One WP Migration’ and ‘Better Find and Replace’. Also used ‘Mimes Types Plus’ plug in to allow uploading gpx files, and ‘Resize Image After Upload’ to compress uploaded image files from my iphone.
